Do I start over?
The irony - from Nibblebit Terms and Conditions:
The Website is available only to individuals who are at least 13 years old. (But they can’t post people of their own age!) note: not blaming nibblebit!
I sure need comments and advice now that Nibblebit has been limited by the fearmongers. Do I start over or just give up. I have been posting pics like those above - are they porn? Are they NSFW (not safe for work?) - I truly don’t know anymore. Here is the question I asked and the answer I got:
My question:
I guess my next question is about content. My blog did include pictures of teens younger than 18 but none was pornographic - all g-rated. Is this acceptable now or does every post including pictures and text have to be related to 18+?
I hope you have not been forced to become blogspot.
Reply:
If you rate your blog as Edgy NSFW, all content MUST be 18+. If your blog is rated as SFW general then NO ADULT content is allowed. We will not allow users to post ADULT material alongside images of people under 18 years.
Now I am not sure looking at blogs featuring males of varying levels of exposure would be wise to view at work for anyone other than self-employed. Also I wonder if fictional material containing interactions between or with under 18 is considered adult content? Please let me know your thoughts about continuing this and if you have any info about what is an isn’t appropriate. Thanks

That *is* confusing. It sounds as if they’re saying if we don’t post any “adult” content (i.e., totally non-nude/non-sexual), then, we need to have the blog set to SFW. But, it’s not at all clear. Not sure if we should rock the boat with too many questions, but, I’d hate to have to do all this again!

That’s why I’m asking. Perhaps someone else can ask nibblebit as well. I am sure they are running gunshy at the moment and I hope they know their efforts are appreciated. Thanks for responding.

Hi guys!
My email discussions and help desk discussions with Nibblebit have given conditions which I must also set against the current state of law in the UK as best we can understand that. The problem is that nobody is quite prepared to say what is legal in one state or country or another.
For most of you it concerns what is legal in the US. For me it’s what’s legal in the UK which Nibblebit feels it can allow. The good news is that the twice that Smutty Stuff has been challenged by outsiders directly to Nibblebit, Nibblebit has given Smutty a clean bill of health.
The name of the blog which caused the trouble is known to me and it was only that one. It was objected to directly to Wordpress who host Nibblebit blogs. Wordpress pulled the plug.
There is no implied criticism of any other blog as it existed at the time this complaint was made. It only quoted some of the content of one single blog.
I would say that if the UK law is followed, there should be few probs with Nibblebit - but I’m not so clued up about the US law.
The UK law prohibits the endorsement or encouragement of sex by people under the age of consent - i.e. 16 y/o.
It also prohibits the display or even the possession of pictures or graphic images or computer or film or negatives etc. etc. showing or including images of anyone under 18 y/o in any sexually suggestive position or circumstance.
In other words clothed people under 18 are fine as long as they are not doing anything or showing anything to do with sex or in a sexually suggestive position. They’re OK under UK law. What you can’t do here is show an under-age person with older people who are being sexy in any way at all. So no mixed groups. You can’t have a man with an erection and even a fully clothed child in the same picture.
I hope that helps - I’ve run this past Nibblebit in the past and they’ve been OK - I know you or I will hear from Nibblebit straight away if they get any complaint or happen to see that something’s a problem.
Please remember that it was Wordpress who reacted so grossly - quite OTT - against Nibblebit and it was all because of ONE blogger.

Keep your blog. I love your photos. Boys are beautiful and can be appreciated in a non-sexual way just simply for being boys.

i think you should start over, why dont you use blogspot?

I already got nuked by blogspot! That’s why I moved to nibblebit. Thanks anyway!

If you set the thingy for NSFW then you can have men fucking each other providing you don’t have a younger guy in the same pic or film watching or listening.
If you have guys under 18 make sure they are not ’sexy’ or showing their bits - or touching them, or have too prominent a bulge so it’s f-ing obvious! Just think of granny and carry on!

As far as I understand it, it wasn’t Nibblebit that nuked all the blogs, but their server provider. And it wasn’t a few blogs in particular, but more or less a total wipe out. They say they’ll create daily backups in the future to prevent anything similar to happen again.
Remains the question of content. I personaly enjoyed your blog because it was free from any pure sexual content and hard core stuff as far as the pictures are concerned. The Cody legathy might be seen different in different eyes. But I have a local copy and will treasure it even more now. I guess you are never save from the narrow minded and if people stop blogging now they won.
looking forward to tomorrows post

I’d certainly like to add my support and this blog has given me much pleasure. It just hurts me to see all the hard work that you guys have done wiped out in one foul swoop. This whole episode has been a big lesson for every one to back up thier data. Like Twinny I managed to save the Cody stories and it is one of my treasured gems.I hope that a very small number of very narrow minded individuals don’t mess it up for the many that theese blogs give a lot of pleasure to. If it was just a matter of voting you guys would win hands down.
Kindest regards Stef.

If there is ANY nudity on your blog, then no picstures of minors - under any circumstance, clothed or unclothed - are allowed. If there is NO adult content AT ALL on your blog, then it doesn’t matter what you post.
Underwear, speedos, etc — not porn. Of no concern.

Stay with it bro! I visit your site by phone and was unable to comment til now (new phone). I dont have a PC- but I will link your site on my 3gp site on Peperonity at- http://mirrormirror.peperonity.com As far as NSFW goes- whats that about? Most work places I know of in the USA dont allow employees access to leisure sites on the web during working hours anyway. Checking your e-mail is about all you get to do at work. Hope you decide to stick it out bro! -HH- DJ.
